Week9 in Arona.

I spent my final week making sure everything was 100% ready to print book wise. I am very happy with my outcome and my mind is now on the new book. I have learnt so many thing during my time on placement with AWF. Mostly about myself, what I can create if I put my mind to it, what makes me a happy worker, whats important to me and where I want my career to go.

I am very excited about future projects with the AWF, and would like to thank so many people who made my time on the special island so amazingly memorable.

Adios amigos!

Week8 in Arona.

Books is pretty much complete, all the early pages have been re worked and I am just add extra details into the backgrounds and designing the front and back cover. myself and Ed have came to a agreement over the story and I pressed on with the images. Overall I am very happy and proud at the job I have done considering I never really thought I would be interested in book illustrations and that this was my first attempt. Ed is now talking about more books, potentially 5more Obi books along with books on Orangutans and African elephants using the same styles and template.

Went on a road trip at the weekend around the whole island stopping off at small towns on the way. Most enjoyable i must say. Really don’t want to leave.
